Jonthan 1st flight- A trip to WA

Jonathan went on his first flight ever; we headed to see dear friends of mine from Washington. The flight was crazy! First, there was a snow storm in WA so we weren't sure if the flight would be cancelled. However, we all boarded the flight. Jonathan got his own seat since there were extra on the flight. Then, after everyone was seated they called out that the flight was cancelled. The first available flight was the next day. So, I take my luggage (I carried on because I have a fear of losing luggage and I hate paying to check a bag) to the gate and they tell me to go talk to customer service. I begin to power walk. I get past security and realize I’m missing my rolling bag somewhere. So, I walk up to the first Delta ticket booth. They inform me this line is for pets (no one is in line). I ask them if they could please call the ticket agent and see if I left my bag. They "attempt" to call but got no answer. I truck Jonathan back through security a second time in 2 hours. Then, I race back to the gate and pray my bag is there! It is!! So now, this agent helps me get on my flight the next day. My mom who had come up to keep Thompson drives and picks up from the airport!! I really laughed about the entire episode because it was just so hystircal to travel with a baby!  The next day we wake up and do it all over but this time we actually get to fly to WA! Chris picked us up on Friday and went back to her house. They had the Fridge stocked and Gary prepared us a great sandwich and salad when we got home. We loved being at their home. They even had a crib and a separate room for Jonathan to sleep in! Thank you, Todds for caring for us the way you did!
Friday and Saturday we spent the day with Jennifer and her family! She is like a second mom to me. She was so important when I was out in Washington and my husband was out to sea. There is simply no one like her. It was wonderful to be with her!! Love you, JG!
We headed back to Atlanta on Sunday and as I'm going through security they inform me that my baby food is a safety hazard and they will either have to open each one or search JRM and me. So, we both got the pat down in order to not spoil our baby food.
In all seriousness, it was so special to introduce Jonathan to my dear friends! It did make me think of the many memories we have there and we are looking forward to returning as a family soon!
