Charlotte

Thompson and I traveled to Charlotte while William was on Business last week. T-lo and Pop spoiled us! We had fun catching up with friends and the Cascios. It wasn’t enough time to see everyone and we hope to make it back to Charlotte again soon and with Daddy too. This weekend we hung out with my aunts, uncles and cousins in Johns Creek, GA. We played poker, had good food and even watched some of the Miss America pageant. On Another topic: I've been trying to use coupons for my groceries and other items. I saved $49.38 on groceries this weekend using Southern Savers and  newspaper coupons.
Thompson has been fighting another sinus infection. Tuesday I'll meet with our Pediatrician and see if there is something else we can do. He has been on so many antibiotics already and we hope we can find a better solution. We appreciate your continued prayers.

Happy New Year!

"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!" 2 Corinthians 5:17  We choose this verse because in Christ we are new. I also liked how the pictures went with the verse; Thompson is crying on one side and then happy on the other. It reminds us of how in Jesus all things are new. Here is a sermon by George Whitfield on the web regarding this verse. God Bless you all this New Year!

Adenoid Surgery

I took Thompson to his Pediatrician and his ENT on Monday. He received vaccines and the H1N1. Thompson is 32 ¼” (75%-90%) and 24LBS (50%).
Thompson has had an ear infection since his ear tube surgery in December. Dr. Bakta (our ENT) gave him Levaquin liquid. It is not normally used in Children and can be dangerous however he needs to clear this infection.
Dr. Bakta scheduled Thompson for an adenoidectomy (removal of adenoids) on Friday and a right ear tube removal and replacement. Snow fell on Thursday and I can't remember ever praying for snow to stop...but we did on Thursday. Lacey took Thompson to his surgery with me because William had an out of town meeting.
Thompson is recovering well. We are waiting to see if he clears the infection and we are thankful to Children’s Healthcare and everyone that helped us. Thompson loves spending time with his grandparents!
Thompson has a post-op appointment in 3 weeks. We are trying to rest peacefully in Jesus and know that Thompson is in His loving hands. Thank You for the prayers!

Wade and Gayle drove up on Saturday and treated us to a date night! We went to Maggino’s and enjoyed "It's Complicated" at the Cumberland Theater and it was great fun! Thanks to them! Today, Lacey watched Thompson so we could go to Church and Lunch...I'm telling you we have it too good!

Orange Bowl

The orange bowl was a disappointing loss for GT fans! However, we got to meet Bennett Ryan Jones! We had chips, chili, and yummy banana pudding! It was fun having friends together!

Thompson got a new car seat. My parents gave us money to get one and it took me researching for months but I finally found the Britax Marathon on sale at diapers.com plus a discount coupon!
Thompson is enjoying being faced forward:

2010!

2009 ended with dinner and a club opening.....we still have it after Thompson. ;) There was dinner at a Tapas Restaurant downtown and then to the Havana Club opening. Jacob Dearolph helped get permits for the Havana Club so we were his "VIP" guest. Becca and Jacob were great hosts and we had a blast!
Here are some pictures from the night:
