Fall Festival

Friday we took my cousin, Patrick, to check out Shorter College. Thompson spent the day with MeMe(she is thinking of changing her name from Granmom since MeMe is easier to say) because she had fall break. We had dinner in town and spent the night on Friday with MeMe. Saturday we came home and watched the Jackets defeat UVA. The Heath's and Pearsons came over for some burgers. The Ladies went out to see Couple's Retreat and the guys stayed home and played risk. The movie theater at Cumberland Mall now has a coke dispenser with 110 flavors. I can't wait to go with William and show him. If you live around here you should check it out.
Sunday we went to Church and had lunch with the Heath's. I am currently in a Beth Moore bible study at Marietta FBC They were having a fall festival so we took Thompson and the Pearsons. Thompson is in their school on Wednesday mornings. We saw friends and had snow cones. The Lo’s gave Thompson this Monkey Costume!

Aren’t they the cutest duck and monkey?

Pumpkin Patch

The crisp cold air signaled that fall is officially here. Granmom (Gayle) watched Thompson on Saturday so William and I could go to the GT homecoming game! We spent the afternoon at the KA house and enjoyed dinner with friends. Saturday was McCord's 22nd birthday! Happy Birthday Cordy! We love you!
Sunday we went to Church and then William ran the AIDS run at Piedmont Park. He came in 9th overall and finished with a time of 20:47.
Thompson went to his first pumpkin patch and loved running around the field. We picked out a pumpkin to put on our front steps...such a fun fall family outing.

Orlando

William had a business trip in Orlando last week and spouses were invited. My mom (T-lo) came and took care of Thompson. She did a fantastic job and even ironed all our clothes.
On the drive down we stayed with Grandma and Granddad Monk in Sylvester. Tracy, David and Ridley came to dinner. It was so great to catch up with them.
The Universal hotel in Orlando was spectacular. I enjoyed spending time in the sun and resting and eating yummy dinners. Saturday was William's only "free" day so we spend time at Universal Park. Charlie and Lauren Carter live in Orlando and we spent Saturday night with them eating dinner and watching Georgia Tech football. Sunday we attended City Church with them. We really enjoyed our time with them and so excited about the birth of baby girl Carter in January.
On the drive back we stopped at Shands Hospital in Gainesville. This is the hospital that operated on me at birth. The Ronald McDonald house took my parents in; we took a tour of the facility. Seeing the hospital & Ronald McDonald house with William was a “full-circle” moment. God is good!
